STRATEGIC WASTE INITIATIVES SCHEME
Workforce Planning Training needs for the Waste Industry in WA.
The Waste Authority (Department of Environment and Conservation) recently awarded EUPA a Strategic Waste Initiative Scheme grant to the amount of $41,360 to undertake a Needs Survey of the Waste Industry.
The project will have a workforce planning focus to effectively align the needs of the waste industry with those of its workforce and identify the means of the training system to provide skills development opportunities.
The project will build on the outcomes of the Training Needs Analysis (2006) which investigated the skills requirements of Waste industry workers, and will identify relevant qualifications/skills sets to meet the identified needs.
The outcomes of the project will inform the State Training Plan 2010 to be produced by the State Training Board.
