The Water Industry Training Package was developed following comprehensive consultation with the water industry in all the States and Territories of Australia. The structure of the Training Package represents a best fit to provide the maximum opportunity for workers in the water industry to gain nationally recognised qualifications whether they work for a large water authority in a capital city, for a contractor to an authority or as a multi-skilled operation in Regional Australia.

Training Packages & Qualifications
The qualifications in the Water Industry Training Package have been structured to meet the needs of all water industry employees, including those whose work involves a number of different streams, which may cover source, distribution, collection and/or treatment. Learners and employers will thus be able to structure individual career paths in a specialised stream or allow a more general approach.
The individual qualifications are:
Certificate I in Water Operations
Certificate II in Water Operations
Certificate III in Water Operations
Certificate IV in Water Operations
Diploma in Water Operations
Advanced Diploma in Water Operations
