(1) Subject to this Constitution, any —
(a) body corporate that is registered under a relevant law as an Association of employers that has members engaged in the industry area;(b) body corporate that is registered under a relevant law as an Association of employees that has members engaged in the industry area;
(c) body corporate (not an RTO*) that has objects and or interests relating to vocational education and training in the industry area;(d) individual (not acting on behalf of an RTO*) who has an interest in vocational education and training in the industry area;
(e) individual with influence and/or specific expertise across one or more of the industry sectors for the benefit of the Association, at its discretion;(f) a business engaged in the industry area;
is eligible to become a member of the Association.* Representatives of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) may become Associate members.
(2) An application for membership is to be made in a form approved by the Committee.
(3) The Committee may at its absolute discretion accept or refuse an application for membership.
(4) The Committee may at its absolute discretion, accept an application for Associate membership, and the names of the associate members shall be entered in the Register of Members in a separate section headed Associate members.
(5) Associate Members may attend and speak, but not vote or hold any office at, or during, Committee of Management and General meetings of the Association. Associate Members may participate and make recommendations as part of Sub-committees and Industry Working Groups.(6) A member may by notice in writing addressed to the Executive Officer resign from membership of the Association.
